ACS™ HT-200 Insulation System
ACS™ HT-200 is used as thermal insulation for offshore pipelines. The product can be customized to meet specific project requirements such as offshore lay method and thermal requirements. The insulation system is composed of three layers:
- Anti-corrosion coating layer which can be an FBE coating or a liquid epoxy/novolac coating selected to meet the temperature requirement
- PN based insulation
- Polypropylene topcoat for UV resistance and mechanical protection
Typical Properties
- Thermal conductivity 0.18 to 0.20 W/m.K
- U value range 2 W/m2.K and higher
- Water depth range unlimited with no microspheres
- Maximum operating temperature up to 200 °C (392 °F) depending on specific grade
- Minimum operating temperature -20 °C (-4 °F)
- Resistant to hot/wet aging
- Thermoset material with no melting point and creep
- Excellent adhesion to a variety of materials including polypropylene
Pipe Application Range
Minimum pipe diameter: 60mm (2 inches)
Maximum pipe diameter: 600mm (24 inches)
Minimum pipe length: 9m (30 feet)
Maximum pipe length: 24m (80 feet)
Application and Standards
The product is applied by a molding process to achieve the desired thermal and mechanical requirements of the project.
